La Stele is located in Lunigiana, at the heart of the Apennine National Park and Unesco Man & Biosphere Reserve. The small village of Treschietto is one of the several medieval hilltop villages that dot the Lunigiana valley in northern Tuscany, characterized by lush chestnut woods and olive groves, overlooked by the peaks of the Apennines. It is only 5 km far from Bagnone, where you can find all amenities, 15/20 Km from the motorway exit of Aulla or Pontremoli. La Stele is not only an hostel but an accommodation for the whole family, group of friends or schools. Completely renovated and provided with all comforts and security standards, it can cater up to 50 people accomodated in single, double or shared rooms with private or shared bathroom. It is possible to book either self-catered (including the use of a fully equipped kitchen and dining room) or with breakfast/half or full board service. Services available: Visitor Centre of the Apennine National Park, equipped kitchen and bar, dining area with free wifi, outdoor space including play ground for kids, 5-a-side football pitch and barbecue area. Various possible activities: walks and hikes in the Park, cycling or mountain biking, visiting medieval villages and castles. Beaches and Cinque Terre approx. 40-45 min drive.
