Rupestrian crypts, small monasteries and shelters characterize cave settlements of a particular piece of Puglia, with their rich displays of Byzantine frescoes, inspired by the inhabitants' way of living. Our web itinerary, following the painted caves, is dedicated to this precious patrimony, in which the historical landmarks with the artistic traces are displayed as they would be in a museum.
