The tipical mountain farmhouse above Merano is a family run firm placed at a height of 970 metres witch was a brewery and where since 1995 the home- beer "Greiter" is served jet. There are apartments as well. Surrounded by meadows and woods, the Greiterhof offersbreathtaking views over the Texel group mountains and the valley of Merano. The Greiterhof produces open range lamb, calf and turkey meat, along with fruits and vegetables from permacture. Other products of the highest quality come from selected local farmers. The farm cuisine pays much attention to the respect four the true South Tyrolean tradition using copper, iron and clay pots. The menu includes such courses as the Schwoaßnudl, the mosa (milk with flour) , the Tirtlen (stuffed raviolo), the Kniakiachl (sweet fritters) and the Schupfnudel (potato nudles)
