The refuge Roda di Vaèl is located on the Ciampaz saddle, at an high of 2283 meters, in the middle of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. Regarding the refuges is this one of reference points of this famous mountain group. At the time, when it was enlarged and renovated, the dining room was dedicated to one of the most capable alpinists of the alpine history of the Dolomites: Marino Stenico. Even nowadays Marino Stenico’s climb routes are still considered very selective. The refuge is in possession of the S.A.T. (Association of the regional alpinist association) and is run by Roberta Silva, who is always at your disposal to give you advices for excursions to one of the exciting metallic fixed rope trails of the ” Roda di Vaèl ” or ” Majarè ” or to one of the many beautiful alpine tours. The refuge offers a restaurant, bar, 59 beds, a large terrace and solarium.
