Rifugio Firenze - Regensburgerhutte
About
Rifugio Firenze – Regensburgerhütte, built in 1888, is one of the oldest mountain huts in Val Gardena. Nestled on the sunny side of the Dolomites and bordering the Puez‑Geisler Nature Park, it offers panoramic vistas of the Sassolungo and the Odle mountains. Open from 1 June to 12 October, the hut serves as a popular starting point for a wide range of hikes, day trips, and climbing routes. The kitchen prepares traditional local dishes, and visitors can stay overnight in a range of rooms or dormitories, all equipped with linens, pillows and blankets. Breakfast and halfboard options are available at competitive prices, and the on‑site restaurant provides lunch and dinner with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten‑free menus. The hut is only reachable on foot, with multiple marked trails from Selva Gardena, S. Cristina and Ortisei, making it an immersive mountain experience for hikers and mountaineers alike. The hut’s storied history, managed by the Perathoner family for decades, and its picturesque setting make it a quintessential Alpine destination. United Kingdom
