Pinuccio Sciola, world famous sculptor and still a resident of San Sperate suggested in the 60s to turn the village into an open air museum, sort of a skansen by putting muralsonto the walls of the buildings. The advice was taken and today you could visit one of the most fascinating villages in the world!
