The main church of Plataci, is located in the center of the small Ionian country. It has a basilic plant with a large central nave and two lateral sides with wide, round arches resting on rugged masonry pillars. Inside there was (and still exists) a strong restoration of the forms that characterize a Byzantine ritual church, such as the prevalent presence of icons in place of statues
