Camping Village Punta Navaccia lies along the shore of Lake Trasimeno, which has been declared a Natural Park. Just a stone’s throw away from Tuscany, it is set among the green hills of Umbria, a region steeped in history and culture, called the green heart of Italy for the natural beauty of the land. The convenient location of the campground makes it easy to reach towns of great artistic and historic interest, such as Assisi, Perugia, Rome, Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Orvieto, etc., not to mention Tuoro sul Trasimeno itself, the site of the famous battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians in 217 BC, where today one can retrace the various stages of the battle. Punta Navaccia covers 70,000 square meters, with 400 shady places, one swimming pool for adults and 1 for children, whirlpool, 75 mobile homes for up to 6 people each, a small harbour with moorings for 200 boats, a large covered amphitheater, large-screen television and movies, activities led by animators in Italian, English, German, and Dutch, fitness club, children’s recreation, playground, disco, tennis, basketball, beach volley, football, ping pong, boat excursions, camper service, barbecue, a slip for boats, and the Federal Waterskiing School, as well as a bar, market, restaurant, and pizzeria, Internet Point and WIFI. The campground has a long, wide lakefront with docks and floating platforms. Windsurfing, sailing, and canoeing can be done from the adjacent sandy beach, which has special arrangements with the campground. The 8m x 3m mobile homes housing up to 6 people are fully equipped with kitchen, living room with sofa, bath, showers, a double room, a room with three single beds, heating, TV/Sat, air conditioning (on request and extra), garden furniture with a table, six chairs, one beach umbrella, two sun-chairs, etc., and are hidden in a dense wood, an oasis of peace and tranquility.
