Borgo San Donino
About
Borgo San Donino was built around the pre-Romanesque church of the same name , dated 1280, the oldest in the town of Desenzano. The rectory was added in the 1400 and then various farm structures were also added up until the end of 1700. 11 apartments have been created maintaining however the original wall structure, these apartments have been furnished with made to measure furniture designed especially for them. All bed linen etc is made from hand sewn linen and natural cotton avoiding the use of any synthetic fabrics. On the walls there are various paintings containing mixtures of colour and clay which comes from our vineyards. At Borgo San Donino there aren’t any televisions, only sounds from nature. The large pool is situated in a charming position between the grove, the vineyard and the old summer stable, a short walk from the apartments so as not to disturb those who wish to rest. The estate is a small ecological oasis; hunting is not permitted on the grounds and this allows some wild species (rabbits, owls, pheasants, squirrels and foxes) to find a safe and peaceful place at Selva Capuzza.
