Ristorante Cascina Capuzza
About
Cascina Capuzza was refurbished to provide a simple yet well looked after place ideal for wine lovers and people who enjoy good food where it is possible to taste the wines produced by our family and also try traditional, local cuisine. The focus of the dishes created by the Cascina is on the goodness of the raw ingredients used; knowing how to select the right quality and seasonality is one of the most important tasks for a good chef. Traditional, local recipes (which are characterised by simplicity) are our speciality. The cuisine focuses on gourmet local products, with particular importance being placed on matching wines produced on the same estate. We only serve wines produced from our vineyards which surround our company. There are always various different “tasting” menus available, which include several courses and, of course, several possible wine combinations, we also organise tasting courses and themed evenings. The original building has two taverns, dating back to the 1400s, then in the 1700s and the 1800s extensions were added.Small rooms, porches, old stables and a large barn loft are now used as the dining rooms. During the summer it is possible to dine outside in the cool park under the ancient mulberry trees.
