Located in the historic centre of Florence, less than 5 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio, Soggiorno Pitti is a family run Guest House situated in the Piazza dei Pitti. It faces the magnificent Pitti Palace, royal residence for three centuries and home to the Medici family in Renaissance times. The centuries old streets of the Oltrarno offer many interesting shops, restaurants and artisan studios, and the world famous Boboli Gardens and Piazzale Michelangelo are within easy reach. Soggiorno Pitti operates on 4 floors of the elevator equipped building in which it is located – offering a great variety of accommodation within its ancient walls. There are beautiful rooms with huge windows facing the Piazza, large quiet family rooms with frescoed ceilings, small, cosy rooms under the eaves and a ground floor apartment with 3 rooms, each with shared use of the building’s spacious inner courtyard. All enjoy the relaxed ambience of this fascinating part of town and provide a peaceful haven for weary tourists to come home to after a busy days sightseeing. The reception is open from 9 am until 5pm and staff are happy to provide a map, tourist and restaurant information on check in. Arrivals after regular check in time is finished are no problem, the electronic keypad entry system allows guests to arrive at the time which is most convenient for them. Air conditioning, daily cleaning, and breakfast at a reduced price in a nearby cafe are all part of the service at Soggiorno Pitti, and a warm welcome from hosts and staff awaits every guest who chooses to make it their home from home while visiting Florence.
