About

Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) is an Italian ferry operator headquartered in Genoa that links mainland Italy with Sicily, Sardinia, France, Spain, Albania, Morocco, and Tunisia. Founded in 1992 by Aldo Grimaldi, the company started with the pioneering cruise‑ferries Majestic and Splendid and has since grown to a fleet of thirteen large cruiseferries, including La Superba, La Suprema, and the latest 2025 vessel Orion. GNV offers a blend of passenger comfort and cargo transport on its extensive Mediterranean routes, providing daily crossings to popular destinations such as Palermo, Sardinia, Barcelona, and Tangier. Demonstrating social responsibility, GNV converted the Splendid into a floating hospital for COVID‑19 patients in 2020, and as part of the MSC Group since 2010 it continues to expand its network while upholding high safety standards for travelers.
