Cala Domestica
About
Cala Domestica is a charming, secluded beach at the southern tip of Buggerru, Sardinia. The bay is framed by dramatic white cliffs and golden dunes that lend the area a dramatic, almost otherworldly feel. The crystal‑clear, shallow waters are ideal for swimming, snorkeling and picnics, while the surrounding Mediterranean scrub keeps the beach cool and refreshing. One of the beach’s most iconic features is the 18‑meter‑high Spanish tower dating back to the 18th century, perched on a promontory to the left. A short hike from the sea leads visitors to the tower, where a panoramic view of the turquoise lagoon and the distant Coast of Carloforte unfolds. On the right side of the main cove, a quiet cove known as La Caletta offers a more intimate space for sun‑bathers and nature lovers alike. With free public access, local parking is paid but convenient, making Cala Domestica a must‑visit destination for those seeking a tranquil and picturesque slice of the Sardinian seaside.
