Heinfels Castle is the landmark of Puster Valley, visible from afar. The hilltop castle was completely restored over the course of four years and has been open to the public since 2020. Visitors can explore the extensive grounds and experience an interplay of narrowness and expanse, inside and outside. Heinfels is a sight, museum and event venue. The museum offers an overall experience of historic masonry, magnificent views and vividly presented history. Narrow battlements and round towers alternate with wide panoramic views. Modern architecture opens up the ruins and the highest tower for those with a head for heights.
