L'assiolo is a family-run farmhouse situated just outside of Matera. We offer Bed and Breakfast as well as the possibility for dinner in the evenings. We have traditional style rooms complete with en-suite shower rooms. We produce organic food for both breakfasts and dinners and we specialise in olives, olive oil and oranges. We also have an outdoor swimming pool which is open during the summer months. L'assiolo is also home to our project 'La Lucana'. La Lucana gives English speaking travellers the opportunity to design their own special experience of Matera and Southern Italy, with activities in gastronomy, culture and adventure.
