About
The National Archaeological Museum of Altamura was created to show and link the numerous archaeological discoveries of the whole territory of the Alta Murgia, from Prehistory to the Middle Ages. In its two floors it exhibits and tells the story of the population of these places, representing a synthesis of the civilization of the Peucezi up to the more internal territories, towards Basilicata and the Ionian arc.
