In 1964 the Brugnera family became the owner of the "alla Sicilia" tavern and began to give the restaurant its own identity until it was transformed into the current and renowned "Osteria alla Sicilia - Casa Vian". The name “to Sicily - Casa Vian” boasts much more originality than its semantics might suggest. When it was born, in fact in 1921, to reach it you had to cross a “sea” of fields from the center of Dosson taking the road towards the south, from this they used to say “I go to (osteria) Sicily”. Subsequently, due to the events, the custom of identifying the then colonial tavern and sale with the name of "Osto Novo" spread, which denoted the rapid and continuous succession of new managers. It was the typical country inn where the villagers, after their work, went to have fun playing “borea” or cards and entertained their appetite.
