Trattoria La Colonna

The building that houses the Trattoria La Colonna is adjacent to the church of S. Maria alla Porta, in the homonymous street. The start dates back to 1922 as "dairy with food service", in a context that bears the scars of the bombings of World War II (whose traces are still visible in the same religious complex). The restaurant becomes exclusive in the 60s, when the space is transformed into a classic Trattoria surrounded by neighborhood shops, from butcher to tripe. The environment has maintained to this day the atmosphere of a typical Milanese Trattoria and consists of two small rooms, a basement and a ground floor. This last feature - hence the name of - a large granite column at the center visible and another column that comes out in part by a wall with the shop contigua.Le gastronomic refer to tradition with a touch creativity; among the classic platter of cold cuts and fried dumplings and the risotto alla Milanese.
