Masseria Relais del Cardinale was built during the Sixteenth Century. It has 65 rooms and it’s located in a strip of land enjoying an extraordinary hot, dry and at the same time ventilated climate. It’s located between the last remaining woods of the Murgia and the sandy creeks of the Adriatic.The Estate covers 100 hectares of land within 3.000 centuries-years old olive trees. The “Masseria del Cardinale” among the most prestigious estates in Puglia, was once the seat of the Knights of Malta and it’s now the seat of the Historic Bailiwick of the Byzantine Order of the Holy Sepulchre.It was built in limestone and clay and during the centuries it was enriched with monumental portals and terraces.
