Lights on the sea - Narratives between sky, land and sea" is a research path, a laboratory for the construction of the memory of the maritime landscape, an exhibition that aims to tell the identity of the village of Torre Canne. The navigation lights, the lighthouses and the lanterns will guide the visitor to the knowledge of the technical history of the lighthouses, their keepers and a part of the Apulian navy through the exhibition of a collection of objects related to the world of lighthouses and the sea, the projection of videos related to the coastal landscape and the testimonies of farmers and fishermen. The MUMAF - Museo della Marineria e dei Fari (Maritime and Lighthouse Museum), is the natural continuation of the "Light on the Sea" exhibition inaugurated in July 2020. The museum is part of the research initiatives promoted by the UNESCO Chair of the University of Basilicata, entitled "Mediterranean Cultural Landscapes and Communities of Knowledge".
