Fattoria dei Barbi
About
The Fattoria dei Barbi is one of the most famous and historic wine producers in Italy. Since the 1700s, the Fattoria dei Barbi is the property of the Colombini family, who have owned land in Montalcino since 1352: today it is managed by Stefano Cinelli Colombini. Since 1892 it has produced Brunello and it opened its cellars to visitors in 1949. The desire to open the doors of Fattoria dei Barbi to allow guests to discover Brunello, its history, and its territory has always been an integral part of our business philosophy. Hospitality here means: tours of the historical ageing cellars with their countless rooms of oak barrels and the bottle cellar holding wines from 1870 to our own day, guided tastings led with utmost care and professionalism, pairings of wines with products from the estate and other typical products of the territory, tours of the Brunello Museum, the option of tasting the food of the Taverna dei Barbi and taking part in events organized on our annual calendar.
