B&B Case Giannone
About
Overlooking the Gulf of Solanto, in panoramic position, immersed in a lush and fragrant citrus grove, just step from the sea, near the Greek city of Solunto, the seaside villages of Porticello and S. Elia, beautiful eighteenth-century villas of Bagheria, and only 10 km from Palermo. The building dates back to the late nineteenth century and was part of a much more extensive farm complex. The manufactured one was on the ground floor warehouses for the storage and processing of agricultural products, upstairs there was the residence. In the early of the twentieth century the property passes to Tomasello's family, still proprietary. Tomasello's brothers produced and sold citrus fruits in Italy and Europe, and this was the business until a few years ago. After countless and nefarious transformations, today has been able to recover only a part of the building but in years past has been used as a summer residence by Palermo families, and has been for a long time the cultural salon of young artists, musicians and intellectuals of the area.
