Casa del Vicario farmhouse is situated 500 metres above sea level and it is surrounded by Cork oak which stretches for 74 hectares. It lays between two muleteers crossing the region from North to South and from North-West to South-East connecting the Tyrrhenian coast with the Ionic side after crossing the Apennines and along side Esaro and Crati valleys. This place was frequented, in the pre-Roman age, by the ancient populations of Bruzio. The House was originally the summer residence of the Vicar of Monte Cassino who was administrating the fief of Cetraro on behalf of Cassinese Abbot. The building, which in its present form has the characteristics of a sophisticated country house of late Baroque age, was probably built by rearranging existing ancient structures. There are various cultural initiatives and agri-food of the company which joins the magic of the Tyrrhenian sea panorama with suggestions of the building that houses the ancient residence of the vicar of Monte Cassino.
