About

The Church of St. Sisto is a historic building, built in the sixteenth century on the site of an abbey dating back to the ninth century, founded by the empress Angilberga. The current architecture is by Alessio Tramello. Raffaello d'Urbino painted for this church the celebrated "Madonna Sistina", now kept in Dresden, while in the church there is a copy of the eighteenth century. Holy Mass: Sunday: 11 am - 5 pm; Saturday: 5 pm; mon-fri: 6 pm.
