Rimigliano Coastal Park
About
Rimigliano Coastal Park is a sprawling 120‑hectare natural reserve that stretches along the western Tyrrhenian coast of San Vincenzo. With its fine white‑sand dunes, Mediterranean scrub, and ancient oak and beech woods, the park offers a pristine seaside experience that feels both relaxed and adventurous. Visitors can explore multiple green pathways, enjoy family picnics, or take part in informal fitness trails that are stroller‑friendly. The park provides essential amenities—free showers, restroom facilities, a bar, a “Spiaggia Verde” that offers special areas for people with reduced mobility, and a cycle path to the town center. Parking is paid, but entry to the park itself is completely free. The landscape is a living archive of Etruscan heritage, with occasional remains of the early Italic civilization interwoven into the dunes and woodland. During spring and autumn visitors often witness nesting loggerhead turtles, while the open horizon offers spectacular views of the Tuscan Archipelago. Rimigliano provides an ideal escape for nature lovers, beachgoers, and families seeking a wholesome outdoor day out, all without a hefty entrance fee.
