Casa Joanna is a 320 square metre houses with a lovely views from the towers of Lucca to the charming farm houses, villas and olive grows on the Monte Zano in the village of Vorno. Historic Casa Joanna (al Mariti) is situated in the charming traditional village of Vorno, a delightful gathering of rustic stone farmhouses and majestic villas set in the lush country side at the foot of Monte Zano in Northern Tuscany. Vorno is famous for royal families of the past who designed and built their summer villas in this tranquil, temperate village just south of Lucca. Chosen for its beauty, the views of the rolling Tuscan hills and the ever so slightly cooler temperaturs in the summer, Vorno became the home of some of the most amazing villas in Tuscany. Located within the walls of Villa Valentina Estate, Casa Joanna has it's own hedge garden, separate entrance and parking. The house was designed and constructed in a grand style well over a century ago. The 4 metre high ceilings on the piano terra give an open spacious feel to the rooms with a large chandeliers hanging from the brick-laied vaults. A terrace provide al fresco dining for up to 12 guests, partly shaded by an old cherry tree. The delightful garden of terracotta pots, fruit trees, local flowers and scented climbers of jasmine and honey suckle create a truly Tuscan feel. The house is composed by two indipendent / intercommunicated 3 bedroom houses with its own drawing rooms, fully functional kitchens and outdoor terraces are rented separatelly or as one, by week. The house has a central radiator heating fire places and air conditioning in all bedrooms. Guests can relax during their holiday while our friendly house manager can help to organize their trips to local vineyards, restaurants, near by cities and beach towns.
