The Renaissance Villa, in the heart of the historical park, was in a bygone age the summer retreat of the earls Agostini Venerosi della Seta who own the monumental complex since 1536. Within the Villa, "Relais dell'Ussero" guesthouse offers accommodation in 9 comfortable and spacious rooms and 2 suites equipped with pure silk and cotton bed linen, courtesy kit, television and hairdryers. Two apartments with kitchen are also available for rent for longer periods. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the common areas of the Villa and in the park. Pets are welcome at no extra cost. Ceilings may be embellished with frescos painted by Andrea Boscoli (1592). One might be greeted by various antique busts or by the smile of friendly ghost, while descending the stairs leading to the buffet breakfast. The nearest beaches are just 7 Km away by car and easily accessible by public transportation. Our restaurant "Osteria dell'Ussero", is open daily for lunch and dinner, serves dishes from the local cuisine, with respect to the time-honoured secrets of the Tuscan food tradition. An extensive menu of wines is perfectly-matched to the restaurant's dishes. The property is located exactly halfway between the Leaning Tower of Pisa (7 km, 10 minutes by car) and the fortified borough of Lucca (9 km, 15 minutes by car). Both cities are easily accessible from the Villa by public transportation, with buses passing by every 15 minutes in front of the entrance gate of the Villa.
