THE AGRITURISMO FILETTROis located on the road from Volterra to pisa via a small rural road and approached through an avenue of Cyprus and olive trees set on a ridge and flanked by wooded hills and valleys. The setting is one of the most evocative areas to be found in Volterra. From the medieval borgo of Montebradoni on its boundary breathtaking views unfold across a landscape of deep ravines and rippled uplands as far as the purple haze of the tyrrhenian sea or from behind , the ruined and romantic Camaldolesian abbey peering into the formidable abyss of the "Balze".The property has developed through the centuries into a traditional country house and part of the property has been divided into four apartments to complement the owners residence. It has been completely restored and fournished in a classical Tuscan country style. The whole property covers an area of some 55 acres with woodlands of Ile, Oak, and Acacia trees, pastures studded with perfumed yellow broom and groves, of olive trees producing a high quality extra virgin olive oil. Here, also nature lovers can experience tranquillity within a majestic landscape immersed in the absolute peace of the countryside and in the evening, perhaps watch the unforgettable fiery sunsets for which Volterra is justly famous. The Agriturismo is provided with a comfortable swimming area which enjoys the paceful view of the olive grove. The lovely modern pool has been built into the traditional threshing floor of the podere and has an adjacent shower, a volleyball ground, an italian bowling court, and a trampoline for children fun. Each apartment is indipendent and provides spacious accomodation as outlined in the brochure.
