About
The history of the Museo Civico di Storia Natural di Comiso The museum was established in 1991, it is currently accessible from of " Ex Scuola D’arte " in Via degli Studi street, it is preserved the paleontological and zoological section. The museum has a rich collection of fossils from different geological era , about 14.000 findings, and also several remains of vertebrates from the Sicilian quaternary period and about a hundred of Sicilian minerals. It has 16.000 zoological specimens, among them there are several of shells of the world, rare fish, about two thousand naturalized terrestrial and marine animals, several osteological specimens and the most important collection of cetaceans .
