It was in the year 1946 when Don Turiddu Rizza, called Turiddu Rampa, a wine merchant, discovered the old "NCantina do ZU Orazio"- The "NCantina" in Siracusa was the place where wine was used to drink and men play cards and only a few Ncantine had a kitchen and offered hot meals. Don Turiddo's NCantina was famous for fish dishes. The dishes of popular tradition were always available: the boiled egg, the sardines, the caponata, eggplant parmigiana, the cheese, the dried tomatoes, the olives
