Macallè Sicilian Bistrot is a place, where you can taste a traditional Sicilian kitchen in a contemprary way. The chef's philosophy is to transform his grandmother's recepies into modern dishes, paying particular attention to seasonality and using exclusively fresh ingredients of grand Sicilian excellency. This is also enhanced by the vicinity of the Ortigia food market, place of important discoveries of local products such as vegetable, fish, seafood, cheese etc. The wine cellar offers a selection of mainly organic Sicilian wines that represent the major areas of vocation of every autochtonous vine. The restaurant is a place where the joy of eating excellent food meets art and expositions and is a starting point for an intercultural exchange between locals and an international audience.
