It is located in an old Maremma farmhouse with the characteristic red color and typical side portico. The name is a result of the fact that it was the command post of the French army during a fierce battle fought in 1798. Afterwards it resumed its role as a farm for the Antica Tenuta Giovanna agricultural company, now a modern center of advanced organic agricultural production for products such as: cereals, asparagus and medicinal herbs like lavender and hyssop.
