Nuraghe Majori
About
Nuraghe Majori, the most celebrated Nuragic monument in the Gallura region of Sardinia, sits two kilometres from Tempio Pausania on a granite mound at 498 metres above sea level. This two‑storey stone structure, built of granite blocks, showcases remarkable Bronze Age masonry and offers visitors the chance to explore its interior chambers—either through a short guided tour or an independent visit—after a brief booking. Inside, a small colony of bats adds a living, mysterious element. The site provides panoramic views of Monte Limbara and surrounding countryside, and features a visitor shop, toilets, and on‑site parking. Admission costs €3.50 for a simple visit and €5 for a guided tour; groups over 20 pay €3.50 with a guide. Opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00 from April to October, and 10:00 to 13:00 by booking from November to March.
