The Museum of Traditional Toys of Sardinia, located in the small village of Zeppara, the only hamlet in the municipality of Ales (OR), is set up inside the former primary school building and is spread over six rooms spread over a single building floor, about 600 square meters. The Museum is also equipped with a laboratory for woodworking and toy making. Inaugurated on 14 December 2002, was created by the will to recover, protect and enhance the historical memory of the popular toy of the regional heritage. The Museum preserve the artifacts of the permanent collection, over two hundred toys made using mainly natural material (cane, wood, rope, cork) or recycled material (tin, scraps of fabric) also offers a rich program of temporary exhibitions, didactic-experiential workshops and collateral events.
