About

The Salute church (in the most complete sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Salute) is a religious building in Turin, located in Via Vibò 26, built between 1895 and 1950. Its importance is linked to the memory of the siege of Turin of 1706, to the dedication to Mary with the title of health (understood as "salvation") of the homeland and of the sick and because it preserves within it the mortal remains of Saint Leonardo Murialdo. The grandeur of the building and the height of the dome make the building particularly important and visible from different parts of the city of Turin. Lately the exterior lighting of the building makes it even more identifiable in the city skyline.
