BELPARK- Parco Faunistico di Spormaggiore
About
Belpark Parco Faunistico di Spormaggiore is a sprawling Alpine forest that offers visitors a unique window into mountain wildlife. Set in the misty Paganella plateau, the park shelters iconic species such as the majestic Alpine brown bear, wolves, lynx, boar, foxes, otters, and a beautiful network of forest trails. A highlight is the Casa del Parco Orso, a modern visitor centre housed in the historic Corte Franca, where interactive exhibits, films and dioramas bring the bears’ biology, behavior and conservation projects to life. Beyond the centre, the park’s diverse landscapes host a range of flora—from ancient yew and spruce woods to colourful spring wildflowers such as crocus, peonies and dandelions—making it an ideal location for nature lovers, families and educational groups. Admission is free, with seasonal re-openings from early July to late August. Guided tours, educational workshops and the onsite lab are available throughout the summer season to enrich the experience.
