The Soc. Agr. La Pesenata was born in February 2019, after about 15 years of exploitation of the family land by subcontractors, to re-conduct the land and in particular the vineyards by the Benciolini owners. We are 4 family members, Gianni Benciolini and his wife and two twenty-year-old grandchildren who have chosen to cultivate the land with us. We drive about 7 Ha of land, of which about 4 Ha of vineyards, on the morainic hills of Lake Garda which have been owned by the Benciolini family since 1868. The name "La Pesenata" derives from the toponym of the place, Palù della Pesenata, and was attributed in 1778 when the Countess Pesenati Falconi became the owner. We have been cultivating organic (certified) land for several decades, now introducing concepts and techniques of biodynamic agriculture.
