Agriturismo Il Carratore
About
"Il Carratore" country guest house is situated in Massa Carrara (the northen part of Tuscany) in a unique setting in Italy: it's a five minute drive either from the sandy beaches of Versilia or the majestic Apuan Alps, world famous for their marble quarries and white marble used by Michelangelo for his masterpieces. Furthermore, the farm is located along the Via Francigena, close to medieval villages, churches, castles, monasteries etc. of enormous artistic and religious interest. The geographic position at the entrance of Tuscany, on the border with Liguria and Emilia Romagna, makes the country guest house an excellent base for visiting the art cities (Firenze, Lucca,Pietrasanta,Pisa...) and villages by the sea (5 Terre, Lerici, Porto Venere...) The structure, a farmer's house built at the end of the 19th century, has just been restored in Tuscan country style (with exposed beams and bricks). It consists of three double ensuite rooms which have direct access to the spacious organic garden. The limited number of rooms guarantees a warm welcome, bespoke service and excellent meals, true to local tradition.
