The Museum of Literature and Music offers a unique permanent exhibition – the first and largest of its kind, dedicated to the tradition of the Latvian Song Celebration – SongSpace (Dziesmusvētku telpa), which has been created in honor of the 150th anniversary of the first Latvian Song Celebration. Exhibition SongSpace is located in Mežaparks, in the Northwest wing of the Mežaparks Great Stage, also known as the Silver Grove. The location has not changed since the first permanent Song Festival stage was built there in 1955. It was replaced by a new open-air stage in 2021, called the Silver Grove. The performance venue received the prominent International Architecture Award 2022 in the Public Space category. This exhibition, an integral part of the surrounding cultural space, creates enormous potential as a tool for the promotion of creativity for all visitors.
