NB: *VISITS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY * Step out of the hustle and bustle of life and visit a labour of love 40 years. This Private Museum's owner has spent a life meeting Siege of Malta veterans who in turn have left numerous artifiacts with great stories and important memories with him. Now that the vets are all but a memory, their defiant spirit lives on in the items and artifacts of Malta's glorious WW2 and Colonial-era past. Carefully curated and presented to continue to tell the story of the brave George Cross Island and her gallant people. The Museum is situated over the land where It-Tuila Battery, part of the 18th Century Gharghar Battery, stood during the tumultous 2 years of the Maltese uprising against the French. The Maltese militia was later assisted by newly arrived British troops. The Owner will pin point for his visitors, the exact location on his land where the British Standard was hoisted for the first time in the history of the Maltese Islands; in February 1799.
