Museum aan de A is the successor to the Northern Maritime Museum, which is definitely changing course after 90 years. From a museum about the Northern Netherlands shipping to a museum about the city and province. About the life of the (extra)ordinary Groningen residents. About successes and downsides. From Rabenhaupt's victory in 1672 to Groningen's involvement in slavery. Of course we will also continue to tell stories about Groningen shipping. Because Groningen would not be Groningen without shipping. We need a few more years for the transition. So work in progress.
