Copernicus Science Centre
About
Situated on the banks of the Vistula River in Warsaw’s historic Powiśle district, the Copernicus Science Centre is Poland’s flagship interactive science museum. Since its opening in 2005, it has attracted more than 8 million visitors with its 400+ hands‑on exhibits spread across six thematic galleries: On the Move, Humans and the Environment, Bzzz! (for preschoolers), Lightzone, Roots of Civilization, and RE:generation. The centerpiece is the state‑of‑the‑art planetarium – The Heavens of Copernicus – offering immersive shows that blend astronomy, natural science and storytelling. Visitors can also explore temporary exhibitions, a robotics theatre, laboratories, and the recently added Discovery Park. Bookings are handled online through the official site, which also offers combined tickets to connect the museum and planetarium, ideal for families and school groups.
