About

The Priolo Environmental Centre is a science centre associated with the R.A.A. that shows visitors the history of the priolo and how this unique bird of the Azores recovered from the brink of extinction thanks to conservation biology. The Priolo Environmental Centre offers guided tours to discover the native biodiversity of the Azores. The Priolo Environmental Centre is run by the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, an environmental NGO with public utility status that has been working to conserve Azorean biodiversity for over 20 years.
