Traditional Gastronomy made with passion." The "Origens" Restaurant combines the best selection of the gastronomy from Beiras and Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Every dish is a discovery from the ancient times. We revive memories from the past, as a result of Dona Anabela´s Knowledge. Her life was fully dedicated to make traditional gastronomy with passion and tenderness. Borned in Trás-os-Montes region, she is responsible for the dishes we make in our restaurant for more than 20 years. There are several specialties we can highlight, such as the "cabritinho em forno de lenha", the tempura of sardines with tomato corns, the pork cheeks in red wine with “Alheira”´s puree (regional sausage), or the pork tenderloin bizaro with spiced rice. As a good gastronomic experience has always its own preamble, we suggest, for starters, the small fish of the garden or our “tripas aos molhos”. For dessert, try the apple tiramissu or indulge yourself with our poached pear in two wines with ice cream
