Livade is a small picturesque village in the river Mirna valley, located right next to Motovun forest. Surrounded with rich truffle finding sites, today the village is also known as the Centre of the world of truffles. Every year, between September and November, it becomes the focus of activities after Zigante Truffle Days are opened – the international fair intended for getting familiar with Istrian truffles as well as with the highly esteemed wines, olive oils, cheeses, honey, spirits and other autochthonous products. During the remaining period between two fairs, Livade is a quiet and peaceful village mostly visited by visitors eager for truffle experiences.
