The Idrija Townspeople Apiary is an exceptional example of a highly crafted, skilfully executed and painted townspeople apiary and is one of the highlights of the 20th century Slovene apiculture. The apiary is located by the Church of the Holy Trinity where, according to the legend, a bucket maker discovered native mercury in 1490.
