Estacion Alacant Terminal
About
Alacant Terminal, the pulsating heart of Alicante’s railway network, welcomed its first visitors on 25 May 1858 and today bustles with travelers heading to Madrid, Valencia, and the Costa Blanca. Managed by Adif and operated by Renfe, the station serves long‑distance AVE high‑speed services, regional express and local Cercanías lines C‑1 and C‑3, making Alicante a key hub for both commuters and tourists. Though a new intermodal terminal is under construction, the historic platform remains fully modernised with dining, ticketing, car‑rental and public‑transport links, ensuring a smooth journey for every passenger. Its enduring architecture, from the 1853 design to the 1960s rebuild, preserves a classic Spanish railway charm while supporting today’s high‑speed travel demands.
