Bar-Pension San Marcos

Hidden in a corner in Arcos de la Frontera can be found one of the most picturesque bars of the Andalusian region. It is the Bar-Hostel San Marcos, specialist in the cooking of the most exquisite dishes of this charming city, all of them based in local and traditional recipes. It is told that it was Paqui's grandmother, the owner, who cooked the last dragon that was mentioned by the first Castillian language poet in the province of Cádiz, native of Arcos: Don Diego Ximénez de Ayllón, who was born just a few steps away from the house where the current stablishment is located. Besides the restaurant services it also offers the hosting ones, having rooms where travellers can be accomodated. Rooms have TV, free WiFi, heating, air conditioning and private bathroom. It also have a private terraced roof with tables and chairs on the top of the building, from where can be seen amaizing views of the Guadalete river valley. The Cabildo's Square, parking place in the Old Town, is located a few metters away.
