This venue opened in 1995 in downtown Bilbao, after an old theatre was refurbished and turned into a multi-purpose venue. Today, Kafe Antzokia is a lively place mostly known as a live music venue by music lovers worldwide beause of its varied schedule that features Basque and international artists. It has restaurant service at lunchtime, hosts many cultural activities, theatre for children, book presentations, conferences, a Basque language academy (Gabriel Aresti) and a community radio station (Bilbo Hiria irratia). Every weekend it becomes a very popular night club with DJs playing until late.
