About
La Cuevona de Cuevas del Agua is a unique natural tunnel that runs straight beneath a highway, providing the only link to the village of Cuevas del Agua. Stretching roughly 300 metres, the cavern offers a dramatic underground walk lined with limestone formations, towering stalactites, stalagmites, and etched columns. Light flickers through a narrow opening at the entrance, creating striking shadows and an ethereal atmosphere. The site is not only a geological marvel but also a popular stop for families, nature lovers, and adventure seekers who enjoy exploring the raw beauty of Asturias’s karst landscapes.
